Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Known for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers an exciting first day of exploration. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive, spotting a variety of animals including giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and an array of bird species. After a delicious lunch in the park, your game drive continues until sunset. You’ll then head to your lodge for a restful overnight stay.
On the second day, you’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and flocks of flamingos. The park is a birdwatcher's paradise and also offers great opportunities to spot elephants, baboons, wildebeests, and hippos. You’ll explore the park’s varied ecosystems, from lush forests to the open savannah. After lunch, you’ll continue your safari in the park before heading to your accommodation for the evening.
After breakfast, you’ll depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Known as the "Garden of Eden," the crater is home to a wide range of wildlife, including the Big Five—lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino. You’ll enjoy a thrilling game drive within the crater, witnessing stunning views and plenty of wildlife. After a picnic lunch at one of the scenic viewpoints, you’ll continue to explore the crater before returning to your lodge for an overnight stay.
On the fourth day, you’ll drive to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, home to the Great Migration and a wealth of wildlife. The Serengeti is renowned for its large population of lions, cheetahs, leopards, and elephants. You’ll spend the day on a thrilling game drive, witnessing the stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife. You’ll stay in the park overnight, allowing you to experience the Serengeti at dawn and dusk, which is when the wildlife is most active.
Continue your exploration of the Serengeti, with more game drives to spot predators and the many herbivores that roam these vast plains. You’ll have an opportunity to witness the Great Migration if you're visiting during the right season, along with countless other wildlife species. The Serengeti offers endless opportunities for photography and animal observation, making it one of the best safari destinations in the world. Enjoy a second night in the Serengeti before your journey home.
On the final day of your safari, you’ll enjoy a morning game drive before returning to Arusha. You’ll drive through the park one last time, catching a glimpse of the animals you might have missed earlier in your trip. After lunch in the Serengeti, you’ll head back to Arusha, concluding your adventure with memories of some of the most incredible landscapes and wildlife Tanzania has to offer.
