About the Lodge

Staying at Nyumbu Luxury Camp Ndutu

Nyumbu Luxury Camp is a seasonal migration camp on the Ndutu plains in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, on the edge of the southern Serengeti. Its name is Swahili for wildebeest, and the camp is set up to put guests in the middle of the herds during the calving season, when thousands of wildebeest and zebra are born and lions, cheetahs and hyenas follow close behind.

The camp has just 10 spacious tents, including two family tents, set on raised decks overlooking the plains. Each tent is elegantly furnished, with an en-suite bathroom with hot running water and a flushing toilet, electricity, and a veranda where wildlife often passes within view.

Game drives are led in 4x4 safari vehicles, and the camp can arrange bush lunches and dinners, sundowners on the plains, walking safaris, hot-air balloon flights and Maasai cultural visits.
