About the Lodge

Staying at Masek Tented Lodge

Masek Tented Lodge sits on the banks of Lake Masek in the Ndutu area, where the southern Serengeti plains meet the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From December to April this is the heart of the Great Migration's calving season, when hundreds of thousands of wildebeest give birth on the short-grass plains and predators are never far away.

The lodge has 30 spacious tents on raised wooden platforms, each with an en-suite bathroom, a hot and outdoor shower, and a private terrace looking out over the lake. Suite and interconnecting rooms suit both couples and families. The camp runs on solar power, collects rainwater and uses only biodegradable products.

Guests can watch wildlife from their terrace, cool off in the swimming pool overlooking the lake, float above the calving herds on a hot-air balloon safari, and enjoy sundowners on the shore.
