Staying at Lake Duluti Lodge
Lake Duluti Lodge stands on a 30-acre working coffee farm on the outskirts of Arusha, at the foot of Mount Meru and close to the forest-fringed crater lake of Lake Duluti. It is about 40 minutes from Kilimanjaro International Airport, yet feels far from the city: a peaceful place to rest before or after a safari.
Spacious, contemporary African-style chalets are spread through the gardens for privacy. Each has a king-size bed, a lounge and dining area, an en-suite bathroom and a private deck looking out over the coffee farm and ancient indigenous trees.
The main lodge has a restaurant, bar, library, spa, gift shop and swimming pool. Guests can tour the coffee plantation, canoe on Lake Duluti, or go hiking, biking, horse riding and birdwatching nearby.
